"Transform Your Photos into Stunning Paint by Numbers with this Incredible Free Tip!"
Are you looking to create your own custom paint by number template to make DIY wall art? Good news- there's no need to download a special paint by number app! Adult paint by number projects are all the rage, and today we'll show you how to create your own template using a photo of your choosing.

In the past, we used Photoshop and Illustrator for this task, but it was a time-consuming process that required a lot of manual adjustments. Luckily, we found a free online tool that will help convert your image into paint by numbers!
First, choose a photo with good contrast and keep it as simple as possible. For our example, we used a beautiful flower from Jeon Sang, but altered the color to a pink coral hue. Then, upload your photo to PBNify and start selecting different colors with your cursor.

While it is possible to use the PBNify tool on your phone, we recommend using a computer or tablet for the best results. If you're having trouble with a more complex image, try switching to a computer.
Finally, we recommend subscribing to our weekly newsletter to gain access to our free resource library with all of our printables, cut files, and templates. With our guidance and the PBNify tool, you'll be able to create your own gorgeous custom paint by number template and make a stunning piece of DIY wall art!

To add more detail to your paint by numbers template, select more colors. However, keep in mind that each new color requires painting, so find a balanced selection.
To convert your image, simply click the PBNify button and wait for a moment.

Once the conversion is complete, you can toggle between the filled and outline versions to see what the template looks like. Don't forget to save a copy of the filled, outline, and palette. The palette will be helpful later when mixing your paint colors.

1. If you're using my painting instead of creating your own from a photo, download and print the free template provided on this website.

If you're painting directly on paper, print it on thick paper and proceed to Step 3. Otherwise, you can print it on any type of paper and trim the edges before moving to Step 2.

2. If you're painting on canvas, apply a thin coat of matte medium on the canvas and carefully place the printed template on it. Smooth out any wrinkles and bubbles as you go. After it dries, apply another coat of matte medium and wait for it to dry completely before continuing to Step 3.

3. Now it's time to mix your first color. If using the provided template, print out the color palette. If using your own photo, use the palette generated by PBNify as a guide. It's recommended to mix one color at a time to prevent others from drying out while painting a section. Mix them in a lidded container to keep them from drying out as you work. Additionally, save a small amount of each color in a jar until the end to fill in any missed spots.

Step 4: First, paint all sections using your initial color before advancing to the next section.
Step 5: Subsequently, mix the colors one at a time and paint that particular section thoroughly until the entirety of the project is completed.

Pro Tip: It is advisable to begin with the most extensive and lightest color areas.
Should you exceed the borders, it is better to cover it with dark paint than light paint.
To finish, you may choose to seal the final product with an additional coating of matte medium.

Bravo! You have successfully completed your personal paint by numbers artwork ready to be showcased in your home!
